The best thing you can do is read as much of the posts here as you can stand (even from silly fools like me and my foolishness) as there are a ton of smart and dedicated brewers here. We're a family of brewers who love to pick on each other (lovingly, of course) but still share our love for this great hobby.
Thanks for the welcome! This seems like the place to be for sure!!! I am excited to get this going and will share with the group how things are going. Very cool things to come I am sure!!!

I'm Kevin, live in CT & just got my BrewDemon kit. Brewed the Prophecy ale as a starter. I've also used the "little brown keg" brews & recipes for 5 years as well as another style from a little company in Brooklyn. The BD fermenter design intrigued me the most.

Hello all! I am brand new to the site and I just received my BrewDemon brew kit. I am looking forward to brewing my first batch and maybe even learn a few things in the process. I am not inexperienced in brewing. I have a Brewers Best kit at home in the states and have brewed a few batches with that. This will be my first experience with an all-in-one kit like BrewDemon. I will be doing an IPA to start things off.
Included in my kit was a card that talked about this site and a discount I could receive on supplies and ingredients if I asked how to receive it. I would love to receive such a discount since I plan on brewing a few batches with this new kit of mine. Thanks for everyones input on this. Happy brewing!

Hey-
I'm Mike and from Montana originally. :give:
My wife bought me a kit at Sportsmans warehouse several years ago (5) and I'm ashamed to say that I didn't start using it right then. Instead, I hauled it around with us, across several continents until the LBK spoke to me last weekend, :fillup so I unpacked it and started my 1st batch last sunday. Suprisingly, the yeast seems to be still viable.
There was a foamy layer on the top of the wort for a couple days, and I can see Trub beginning to deposit on the bottom of the LBK.

This is my first of many batches of beer, I am hooked already :fedora:

Cheers!
Mike

Pleased to meet you Mike!
An older extract kit may have a different flavor than intended, but will not have spoiled. Let us know how it turns out, and what you brew next.
