Yes for sure if you're on a public road. You can also on a public bike path, but they might be more forgiving depending on the time of day and traffic on the path.

Yup, exactly right. Probably a 10 minute ride. No more than 15.

Hmm... I can probably cycle there in 8 hours or so. Drink a bunch of beers while standing due to gorilla butt, crash at a motel, ride home next day, and then be unable to sit for a week. Sounds fun.

Beat me too it, just saw that. They are doing a crowd funding for the hotel/brewery.

I wonder if this borders on crazy. Sure, they are successful but will this craft craze continue on an upward trend? They're betting on it. If anyone can do this, they can but of course, with other people's money.

The interesting part is this...they area saying this facility will cost 6 million, but their goal on the crowdfunding is $75,000. And here's a quote from the Indiegogo page.

Provided we hit at least our minimum raise on Indiegogo, we have the balance of funds required in the profitability of the business to launch as per our timeline.

I wonder if the crowdfunding for this one isn't anything more than a publicity and marketing effort to get the word out. If the cost is 6 million and they are only asking for $75,000 on crowdfunding, then I bet they already have/can get all the money they need.

Absolutely.

I have to laugh at many of these "fund raising" programs that people launch - not so much as those that launch them, but those that fund them. $30 + shipping gets you a T-Shirt, a pint of beer. That's about a $6 or $8 cost to them, $10 with shipping at most. $20 pure profit. $25 for a tour and tasting, where most places are free or at most $10.

Yup, and as long as BrewDog shows the consumer a reasonable value for the investment, and I think to the average buyer, they are doing that; they'll most likely reach their "goal".

Ya gotta hand it to them, they may be a little off the wall, but it sure seems to be working for them...they did plant a huge brewery in America with their off the wall tactics!!!
