That was an interesting article Dave, thanks for sharing. I have occasionally joked that I would "fast" by drinking only beer like a monk. I haven't tried, and should not lose 25# as the blogger did.
I did kind of fast yesterday, but not by choice. I was at a home where food was served which I cannot eat: cheese, butter, pork. As a result my meals totaled a few rice cakes, two granola bars and a bowl of bean soup. I did supplement that with beer. I find that when I miss a meal, I am initially very hungry, but less so later as my body adjusts. Last night when I got home late (11:30ish) I had a modest bowl of pasta. I probably ate less yesterday than I have in years.
Making beer and stew for the Zombie Apocalypse.
Never mind, there it is.

I drank 2 of my holy roman empire abbey gruit beers last night. The last 2 are in the fridge. 'Tis the season.
