Well this is sad to read. Like others have already stated, what a great guy, always trying to help.

My heart is heavy and my eyes are wet.
Having met and brewed with him I can attest to all the the other posts about what a great husband, father, grandfather and friend he was.
May peace be with him and his family.

Aw, Jim. No words can make it better. But I pray that you will go in peace, and that your family will experience comfort beyond their understanding.

Re: About Jim Johnson
This is very sad news. Jim and I did an RCE together and he was a great guy to correspond and brew with.
Re: About Jim Johnson
Jim J was a good man. We joined about the same time and spent quite a bit of time in the early days of the taproom talking beer and brewing techniques. I just heard of his passing on Facebook. I will toast my latest home brew in his honor today. My thoughts are with the Johnson family today.

I raise my glass to JJ, a gentle giant if there ever was one. Safe travels my friend.

Very sad. I hope he found peace, and give Lisa, his children, and grandchildren my thoughts.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

Re: About Jim Johnson
It was an HONOR to have met Jim and his wife at our first BORG meet up in Nashville in 2015. He seemed like such a fun loving guy, full of spirit and ideas. I was lucky enough to have tasted his beer and his common and wheat I took home with me were enjoyed by my wife as well.
RIP, Jim. You are now in the GREAT BREWERY IN THE SKY.
God Bless, Peaceful sailing my Borg Friend!
