John Sand--Brewer Of The Month April/May 2017

Post by The_Professor »

CONGRATULATIONS TO John Sand APRIL/MAY 2017 BREWER OF THE MONTH!

I don't want my lateness in getting the nominations up to cut into John's BOTM time so we'll give him the rest of April and May as well.
Again, congrats.

So there's lots of extra time to mull over your answers to the interview questions. :)
1) When did you start brewing and how did you become interested?
2) Who would you most like to share a beer with?
3) What is your favorite beer?
4) Do you have a beer recipe you'd like to share?

Sorry that I am late to this party. I have spent the last two weeks on my boat, traveling from Brunswick Ga, to Long Island.
Thank you all for your kindness.
I started brewing early 2013 after my daughter gave me MrBeer for Christmas 2012. It took me a long time to make really good beer, but I study and practice improved results. It also increased my interest in different beers, encouraging me to enjoy them more as I understood their style.
While I think that sharing a beer with a world leader, great musician or writer would be fascinating, I would most like to share a homebrew with my Dad. He loved beer, but died the summer before I started brewing.
I don't think I have a favorite beer, there are so many good ones.
Most of my recipes are pretty close to commonly published ones, on HBT or in Brewing Classic Styles. As you see from my posts, I do like making one wort and splitting it with different yeasts.
Making beer and stew for the Zombie Apocalypse.
Never mind, there it is.
