First Time in a long time!
Today was the first time since May 4th that I brewed. It was nothing special, just the BrewDemon version of Oktoberfest straight up! Only thing I did differently was to add a yeast nutrient to make sure that the yeast had something more to eat.
It was Amazing how good it felt even doing a simple batch like this.

Why stop now? Not like you have been super busy with a forum or anything. Plus, I hear you might actually have a life outside the ! Keep us posted on the Octoberfest, if it's any good I might have to pick it up to brew my modified recipe.

I'm actually going to brew again tomorrow! I have the American Prophacy Ale that I'm going steep some crystal 20 to add to it and I have an ounce of Columbus hops that I'll be adding also!

Re: First Time in a long time!
Well, don't anyone feel too bad. I have two gallons ready to bottle, then nothing. So I'd best do some brewing too. But warm weather allows boat work, car work, house work, and sailing. Then in the evening I just sits. I'll brew more in winter. But I'm not waiting until then either.

Leigh, since you have not been able to brew much (keeping all of us together by building and maintaining this site and we all Thank You). I feel that your pipeline might be a little low.
If I might get your address through a PM or email I would like to help build it back up with a beer or two. Be forewarned, I am not the only one who feels this way and many would like to show their appreciation, so others will ask also.

Re: First Time in a long time!
Just brewed another one today! This should be interesting I used the BrewDemon American Prophecy Ale (old WCPA) as a base, steeped 1# of crystal 20L, 1 oz columbus hops (60 min boil) 1/2 oz UK fuggle (15 boil) and a yeast nutrient. OG = 1.040 @ 60*F . The taste of the SG sample was very hoppy and tasted pretty damn good!

That's good you're brewing Louie, because in the forum rules (small print, written in black on a black background or white on a white background by Joe Chianti) is a clause that reads:
It is agreed that should the forum owner, or moderators, not brew anything for a period of 180 days, they will be relinquished of their responsibilities and relegated to the new role - Coordinator of Smilies - and shall give up their old role to whomever has the most valuable posts on the forum (that eliminates about 1/2 of you)...

I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...
