Smoked pulled pork

Post by berryman »

I will say I have a good system on pulled pork. About 3 hours on the smoker with a dry rub on it. Then into a preheated crock pot with a little water and some sweet BBQ sauce, then when it falls apart off the bone we pull it add more BBQ sauce as needed and let it sit on low until time to eat. It comes out nice and tender and don't have to baby sit it all day on the smoker and plenty of BBQ/smoke flavor.ImageImageImageImage

I know this is the easy way out. But I have had some very good pulled pork just done in a crock pot and my way adds the outdoor BBQ flavor to it and easy to do...

No shame in your technique. Sure looks good, and I'm sure it tastes a hundred times better than it looks.

Had some pulled chicken when my family and I went out recently to a local smokehouse. Mighty good! I should make a nice chicken pretty soon. I'm fairly certain I saw one in the chest freezer down in the basement....
