They will outgrow that tub pretty darn quick, not to mention an every other day, if not daily, bedding change. After 3 or 4 days and I am sure the chance for splay leg's are past, I put a couple inches of coarse wood chips in for bedding. It last a little longer than other products and helps keep the smell down a little better. I keep them in a brooder, 3x3 foot with hardware cloth flooring (HUGE difference on cleaning!), for a week then I have to put them in a room that is 6x4 foot where they stay for a couple months.

Sounds like you've got it under control. That's similar to what we do, our brooder is 4x2, and then we move them into a small 4x8 chicken house until they get big enough to be moved into the houses for the adult hens & roosters.

Nice looking sausage! Wish I had room, I'd do a couple of them and a bag 'o beef. Darn chickens is all I have room for at the moment, or should I say, all I have energy for.

For way over 20 years of growing strawberries and a 3 year break we are back in business but on a smaller scale now this year.
They are coming on good and we sell out every day but needed a drink and so do I now

Fun two-way collab between Yazoo and Jose Cuervo...

Image

The beer: Maracuya’ y Tradiciona is a 9.9% abv Brettanomyces Golden Strong Ale with Passion Fruit aged in Jose Cuervo 100% Blue Agave Tradicional Resposado Tequila casks.
The tequila: The Cuervo 100% Agave tequila was finished in the same funky Brettanomyces casks that held Maracuya y Tradicional.

No doubt, it'd take several of those eggs to make an omelet, so to speak. We bought some chicks several months ago to replace our old flock of hens. So we're looking forward to a new supply of eggs shortly.

Doing a 2 L starter today, I have to use this wine bottle because I only have a 1L flask and usually as big of a starter I need, but this is for a lager and needed more and bigger.
