Drinking my little trub bottle of New Nordic Ale, made with the New Nordic yeast at 2 weeks in the bottle. I don't have a drinking horn, but I have a stange glass, so I used that, it's the most "Nordic" glass I have. It doesn't need a wide glass for the aroma to hit you, it's got lots. I'll probably try the next bottle in a Belgian glass though just because it will probably be most excellent that way.

It is tasty. It is fruity, but more like ripe pears and sweet oranges, only a little bit of banana, it is spicy but a lot more pepper then clove, only a little bit of clove. You notice the pepper for sure. It has a honeysuckle/orange blossom aroma. You know there is juniper in it, some piney flavors/aromas, but it's not like Gin. Even though there were no hops in the boil, it is not very sweet, just enough lingering to bring out the fruit and floral aromas/flavors (all the hops as well as most of the juniper were boiled in the mash/sparge water, which was then cooled to mash/sparge temps).

It is not like any other beer I've ever made or had. And I will for sure make it again assuming I can get this yeast again. You can see what I did exactly in the yeast thread.

Yea. it rocks! It's my house brew now, have not changed a thing. Grains are crushed awaiting brew day. Could be me, but I bottled the batch I'm currently drinking and I think it came out better than when it's keg'd. Just taped a keg of a Blonde ale, it's ok but should last a while. I prefer our cream ale as does everyone I allow to have one. I'm kinda stingy with it though, it's soooooooooooooooooo dayum good!! Without doubt the best RCE I've done to date.

LOL My god what??? Peppermint Schnapps chasers? Well, enjoy it sir! I wouldn't have thought of that, but thankfully the drinking world isn't limited by my lack of creativity.
In my freezer, I keep a jar with a 50/50 mixture of Cuervo Gold tequila and peppermint schnapps. Sounds weird, but first you get the peppermint, then the tequila glow. Nice.

My first AG brew, I've done this beer a few times before in extract with steep. The numbers came out good. It is lighter in color but more cloudy, I need to work on that. Its only been in the bottle for just a little over a week and In the fridge for a few hours, but is good

Yesterday I imbibed a Simply Simarillo (session IPA) while smoking a couple a trip tips for dinner.
Looks like a nice one.

This is my SMaSH MOB Pale Ale that I brewed about 3 weeks ago. I used 12 lbs of Marris Otter malt and 2 oz of Bravo hops (1 oz for 45 min, 1/2 oz for 15 min and 1/2 oz at flame out) I'm really happy with how it turned out. Nice and crisp with a good balance of the Bravo hops both in flavor and aroma.

I might, or I might play around with the hops as far as timing or trying different hops altogether.

I had got into a habit of brewing big beers or complex beers and I really enjoyed the simplicity of the SMaSH and may play around with doing more.
