Fermentasaurus Conical Fermenter @ MoreBeer

There are a couple of videos, too. There are some nice features like a butterfly valve and container for collecting yeast, dumping trub, and dry hopping (never would have thought about that). It's clear so you can perve your fermentations, and there is an optional pressure kit to allow for closed transfers or even using a keg. It's being touted as an all-in-one type unit and for $119.00 it's reasonable for sure.

The biggest issue I see, and one I didn't see addressed in any of the videos is temp control. If you have a fermenting chamber I suppose you could use something like a Johnson Controller or STC-1000, etc. but that requires significant space and a way to monitor the temps without a thermowell.

So, passing this along for those that don't get emails from MoreBeer.

Hah, I got that, and read about the super neat feature of pressurizing your fermenter to reduce ester production and went "meh".

Because I do the exact opposite, totally free vent my fermenters to increase ester production. Because I don't brew like a 'Merican.

But if you are into that IE all you make are IPAs and APAs or want to ferment lagers at high temps then that's cool...

If I was looking for a big clear fermenter with trub dump I'd consider one of these over a catalyst one though as it seems more bang for the buck.

I seen a few reviews of this on youtube but there's no way I could keep that cool or cold crash.
So, I'm sticking to what is already paid for!
