I sorta like the idea because lots of folks think Blue Moon for example is a craft brew... but I also do agree that independent doesn't necessarily equate to better. There are former independent breweries from around here that made some pretty awful beer.

I'll tell you what, if they want to send me a bottle of every kind of beer they want to certify, I'll gladly test them to see if they are worth certifying.

I like the idea. Since AB InBev won't identify themselves on their products, force the issue by identifying breweries that specifically are NOT AB InBev.

Yeah, Mashani has a point that smaller independent craft beers are not necessarily better, but that's not the claim being made, nor is it the point. You pays yer money, you makes yer cherce. And you takes yer chance, frankly, but that's how the market regulates itself. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

This is meant to keep Big Beer from fooling us repeatedly, and I'm all for it.
