I won't be able to brew for that event I usually do, but probably will attend the event so I would hit it up with you. Unless I can end up buying the grains at AIH and brew there with you in January so I don't have to transport kegs, can bring emptied and clean kegs up. I am going to have to get hold of my buddy that organizes it for date.

Steve, Let me know My HBC usually does a MLK (Mash, Lauter, Krausen) day brewday on MLK Day. Maybe we could brew something up on that day? I'm sure we could find time to get to Founders too. ;)

I'll get with organizers to find out when the event is. I try to leave myself 6-8 weeks before the event to have the 3 styles done to make sure all is good.

I wish I could go, it sounds like a grand Grand Opening.

So I'll have to content myself with sitting here in New York seething with jealousy.

I'm seeing more and more from Founders show up out here and I've generally liked everything that I have had from them so far.

Their Mosaic Promise is maybe my favorite beer from them.

Have a great time if you go.

Maybe one day I'll make it up there.... would love to.
I also like most of the Founders beers but Ron, I'm not sure I like the Mosaic Promise though I'm not a huge fan of mostly Mosaic. So, tonite I'll drink the last bottle I have and give it serious consideration. (not that my thoughts mean a damn anything)

I haven't been disappointed by anything Founder's either. It's good to see they're expanding.

So the new taproom opened on Monday. I haven't had a chance to get down to see it yet but the reviews I've heard is that it is awesome! They actually created it as a replica of the original Taproom in Grand Rapids and they have a 3 barrel system that they will use to brew house exclusive beer. I think I may need to go do some Christmas shopping there! :hammer:

Fantastic. I hear great things about that place. The Founders rep here is encouraging us to pilgrimage up to the OG taproom or this one if we are ever up north. We attended the 20 year party they hosted here last Friday. 20+ beers on tap, including CBS, a three year flight of KBS, and many other great Founders beers, including a Michigan taproom exclusive IPL.

ImageImage

We successfully avoided this line (link below) by buying the $30 VIP package, which got us a 10oz CBS (and one other beer of our choosing) a full two hours before the release, as well as a great food buffet and a nice Founders 20 tulip glass...
