I think I'm missing a setting in BeerSmith. I wrote a recipe for a Pale Ale on my desktop and it came in with an IBU rating of 41. I then saved to my cloud and brought it up on my iPad. The version on my iPad now has an IBU rating of 46. All the other numbers (SRM, Gravity, ABV, etc.) are identical between the two.
Is there a hop setting that I'm missing on one or both of the systems? The hop utilization is set at 100.00% on both systems and the alpha acid percentage for each hop is identical between the two systems.
I just can't figure out why I get two different IBU ratings for the exact same recipe.

In "Options", "Bitterness", are bith versions using the same calculation method, such as Rager?
Re: BeerSmith and IBU's
Dude...you are the man!!! One system had the pellet hop adjustment at 10% and the other had it at 0%. I set them both to 10% (not sure what that means), but now my numbers are exactly the same.Foothiller wrote:In "Options", "Bitterness", are bith versions using the same calculation method, such as Rager?
