Re: New Inkbird temp controller < $34
So you know, I don't actually have one of these. Until Saturday. Then I do now. (I went for same 15% off deal as above, threw in CC bonus points, and got it for "free". Hurray!).
I never bothered because my basement maintains at the worst a 3 degree temperature range over a 1 week period year long, usually more like 1 or 2 degrees. Which is good enough to make beer without any issues, as long as I make "seasonally appropriate" beers. Which I don't mind since I like every kind of beer. But that's why summer is Belgian and Saison season for me.
But just screwing around recently I discovered that my "Mini Coopers" fit perfectly in the fridge I use in the camper, which just sits around doing nothing unless I'm camping.
So now I can have it doing something. And maybe brew something besides Belgians in the summer.
I think my first experiment with it will to be to brew the Dopplebock, one at my ambient basement temps (57ish right now), and one at closer to 50 in the little fridge. And see if I can tell the difference between the batches.
