I'm not particularly crazy (IMO), and I don't rock-climb. It's just the name of a video game I used to like to play, back in the 80's.

Edit 9/12/2017 to add: [/b] Updated to reflect current standings. I've just about closed the gap from last year's pace!

Re: How much have you brewed in 2017?
Just did my 6th 5G batch (well, toss in a few 6&7 gallon batches there, don't really do JUST 5 gallons batches anymore). Just bottled my JJ Nong. Made another batch using Buddha Hand. Gives it a nice twist.
The Nong Brewery defines "Fermentation" as: Making "Rot" a Good Thing

Re: How much have you brewed in 2017?
Last night I fired up Beer Smith to plan today's brew and I saw that I had not brewed since October 2016. That is a new record (in a bad way) by far. How pitfull? Five and a half months into 2017 before I even make the scoreboard.
Re: How much have you brewed in 2017?
At home, maybe 15 or 20 gallons.
At work, about 120 bbls....

Re: How much have you brewed in 2017?
So far only 5 batches and the year is half over. Grandkids and work are taking more time, but the biggest factor for me is the explosion of great local craft breweries. When I started, I could confidently state that my beer was better than anything I could buy. Now there are numerous local brewers who make better products than I can. I still enjoy brewing, but I find myself drinking 60% local brews and 40% mine. It used to be 90% mine and 10% others.

Re: How much have you brewed in 2017?
I'm breaking the rules of the initial post to post my final total here since this thread will likely die off and be replaced by a 2018 version soon.
I ended up 8.5 gallons shy of 2016's production and I think the main causes were:
- So many great beers made available to me this past year that I drank more commercial than previous years
- Inkleg got me into roasting coffee so that took up more time that I could have used for brewing
Overall, I'm not complaining as it was a good beer year in terms of both homebrew and commercial. I've maintained my health, weight and ability to stop drinking when I want to - I just don't want to (you knew that was coming!).
Cheers.
