Did you drink the additional 25 + 8.5 more?

Damn, I sound like the beer police!
Drank 28 g + 8.5 g more, the 25 additional I brewed was consumed at a charity event by close to 100 people! Confused yet?

I'm at about 24 ounces per day. That comes out to about 68 gallons. Give or take about 10 gallons based on the average of only two per day. It's more than that in the summer, but can be less than that in the winter.

I've gotta step up my game. Dave may beat me at the BBQ sauce game, but I'm not gonna give up so easy here.

Boring call, yes. And this took all of 2 minutes to do so it didn't even distract me for very long.

ok ... I finally took the time to do the Math (partially)
and it seems ridiculous when expressed in gallons per year
I average 4 or 5 a day (in general) AND that's where I stopped with the Math
Because
Can be a few more on Alabama game day (cooking, tailgating and all that)
Can be a lot more on Saturday or Sunday afternoon, evening, night in the summer
Every 3 months I take 2 days off (don't drink anything)
Adding the extra for weekends, game days, special occaissions ... not possible
Somewhere between 175 - 240 gallons a years
Any way .. a lot

Hey Borgarellis, I drink WAYYYYY too much in some folks eyes. I brewed 53 gallons, and still have about 15 to drink,so 38 gal.of homebrew and probably 30 gal. store bought,so around 68-70 gallons. I usually drink,in an evening, until it starts to run out my nose. That's usually when I quit. Looking at last evening's results I had 5 x 12oz Homebrews and 5 x12oz store bought. Whew! No wonder I was voted as PosterBoy for the local chapter of "The Brotherhood of the Bloodshot Eye". Cheers ;)

Updated chart to include dbrowning and RandyG.
Remember, this is neither a competition nor to shame anybody for drinking what somebody else may consider "too much".

I brewed 25g and probably drank about 15g of that, maybe a little more. My guesstimate would be a similar amount of consumption of commercial beer.
Looking at it another way, I probably have 4-5 beers per week, with occasions where there's more (summer, golf outings or neighborhood parties can yield 4 or 5 in a day, for example).

Doing the math both ways, I come up with a guess of about 30 gallons per year.....round it up to 35 gallons for the heck of it.

When looking at it in large units like that, it feels like a whole lot!!

FWIW:

If you lived as a Trappist Monk during the time of the Holy Roman Empire, your allotment might have been as much as 7L per day.

So that is something like 1.85 gallons. Per day.

So that would come out to 675 gallons a year.

Now that was probably 2-3% beer, unless you were the abbot, a special guest, or it was a special occasion.

But still it's a hella lot of it.

So compared to them we are still all lightweights.
