Drinking some more of my Fat Tire clone, have refined this and have brewed it a lot of times now and I like it better then the real Fat Tire and can home brew it cheaper then what FT cost around here. I said I probably wouldn’t ever keg beer but am seriously thinking I might, because I could drink this beer every night and not get tired of it.

I use Wyeast 1214 with a 1 L starter and ferment on the cold side.

Drinking a snowplow stout, a year old. Is way better now then shortly after I brewed it and a lot better then when I entered it in the fair and got a blue ribbon on it and didn’t think it would place. Only about a 1/2 case left now. And will hate to see it gone but can move on to summer beers.... I can’t wait for summer.

TY BL. I thought in the beginning too much going on in this beer and to much hot alcohol at
7.8, used s-04 yeast and fermented on the low side like I do with most of my beers. Was secondary on oak chips that were soaked in old grand dad. It really mellowed and turned into a smooth stout but took awhile.

I'm drinking and pretty much have been drinking my Zombie Dust like NEIPA. Drinking it while it's fresh. It's very delicious, I highly recommend that folks brew something like it. (just sub half the crystal in a Zombie Dust clone for oats and move all the late hops to later... I don't miss the crystal, it's more juicy then the real thing this way).

Freak State Black IPA from BrewDog. Nothing more than average craft beer. Which is pretty much like every other beer they make, at least in my opinion. This has very little roast/malt, which isn’t too bad for a black IPA, but there is also very little hop aroma and flavor. It’s just too mild all around for a black IPA. Image

What a shame. I'm very particular about the kind of black IPA I like and that doesn't sound like it. I want them to do well but they seem to be just as you say, average.

Hey Borgabunnies, Had 2x Homebrew 1st pours today, and 2 other tastings. The Homebrews were my Session Ale(MrB CAL/w grains),and a Summertime Ale(wheat LME and grains) w/ added lemon xtract. The session was DE-Lish.Coulda chugged the whole glass. The Summertime was WAY Lemon upfront. The extract destroyed the head etc. I'll mix that one.The store Bought was Genny Bock(hadn't had that one in years)and Genny Ruby Red Kolsch. Both of those were a nice addition to this weekends Qualfings, especially the Ruby Red Kolsch. I think I'm gonna have that instead of my orange juice for breakfast. I really like that one. I've got a Pils, and a Canadian(both MrB+) to sample this weekend. Can't wait. Cheers! :fillup

Working on a second pull of a Hard Cider. Juice is from apples from my trees. Going to have to do this one up again... wow, I feel like I have drank a fifth of crown.... yeeeehawwww!! This is some very strong cider!! I measured it out around 14% and it's sure drinking that way. At first it came out not tasting so good. Another year conditioning and a bunch of lactose.... holly cow... wow....

Drinking a Espaňol por Cervesa (mexican style lager with lime peel) at the taproom... and sucked into taking a mixer sixer because of these cool new embossed bottles... They really look pretty sweet. No word on if they'll switch to this permanently... a small run they did ahead of the World Beer Cup/Craft Beer Conference week.Image

Something that was supposed to be a maibock, but doesn't taste like one to me, because I discovered something sucky about myself.
