The link doesn't work for me, but I found another article stating they were reducing distribution to 17 states.
I love the West Coast IPA, but can't justify the cost.

For some reason its taking many minutes to open the link for me to but it does open.
(San Diego, CA) – We’ve been following Green Flash Brewing’s shift in workforce and sales over the past year. In brief, Green Flash Brewing has been met with challenges that required them to withdraw from multiple markets just after launching a second production brewery and tasting room in Virginia in late 2016. Signs pointed to trouble as they began shifting and reducing workforce at their San Diego based headquarters in January 2017.
Today we were tipped off by many members of the beer industry that the Green Flash Brewing facility in Virginia Beach Virginia was up for sale.

After a quick Google search, we found that Green Flash Brewing is in fact liquidating assets in Virginia. It appears everything is up for auction: facility, bottling line, tasting room, draft system, etc.
Green Flash is conducting this auction via Heritage Global Partners. Here is the link to the auction page: http://www.hgpauction.com/auctions/93763/greenflash/
We were told by someone with knowledge of the situation that this is a move that was made to solidify investments to keep San Diego’s operations above water. We reached out to Green Flash President CEO Mike Hinkley earlier today for confirmation/ comment but he did not return our inquiry as of press time.

Interesting...I guess that's what happens when you spend money you don't have.

Sometimes happens when businesses grow too fast. Could have waited for more demand before trying to supply more.

Re: Is the bubble starting to burst?
I'm going to miss the Virginia Beach location, less than 2 miles from my home, great facility.
I do think I've probably had my last Green Flash beer due to the way they kept the employees in the dark, most found out via the media rather than the company letting them know.
Local scuttlebut says there are a few entities interested in the facility. The challenge is the size, it's set up to run production and distribution for the whole East Coast, much larger than any of the local breweries are positioned handle.
Hopefully it doesn't end up in InBev's greedy paws

It would be great if some other craft brewer moved in.

Re: Is the bubble starting to burst?
We have had 3-4 breweries close in 2018 already. I think at this point only the best will survive the next few years and it will level off.
