Re: Look out Nashville...
We both had the Wiseacre Migration of the Taco Raptor (the Tiny Bomb without honey from what I understand) at the pizza pub place. Quite a good brew. Did you have Gotta Get Up To Get Down? Might be one of my favorite TN stouts... Their Astronaut Status is definitely my top TN stout...

Re: Look out Nashville...
I took home some Tiny Bomb but they were out of Raptor.
Years ago when my son was as Ole Miss and we visited Oxford, I got gas at a dive gas station. Saw the Gotta Get Up to Get Down sixer and said, "I have to have that". Took it back and the wife and I fell in love with it. 2 years later, it started showing up in NOLA. Now it's almost always in my fridge.
This past weekend the wife and I were visiting our son who now works in Oxford and took a day trip to Memphis (about an hour away) for a Wiseacre visit then to get some BBQ (that was awesome). First let me say they were definitely Southern and uber friendly.
We took this tour for $15 at Wiseacre before going for BBQ:
NEW! Gotta Get Up to Get Down Tour & Pairing - Available thru Saturday July 21st (at 12 pm)
Love coffee AND beer? This is event for you! We'll pair our new (non-alcoholic) Cold Brew and Gotta Get Up to Get Down with a tasty treat while talkin' beans and beer. We'll get hands-on with ingredients and compare coffee and malt kilning practices and flavor, then finish with a short tour of our facility to show you how we make these delicious (and caffeinated) beverages. $15 includes a glass of our non-alcoholic Cold Brew, a pint of our alcoholic (cause it is beer) Gotta Get Up to Get Down, and a "home-made" pop tart from our neighbors, the Liquor Store restaurant.
The 'pop tart' was huge and chocolate filled. It was just my wife and I and another local couple. A newish worker took us around the brewery for 30 minutes to discuss whatever we wanted. The brewery has a tiny dog park outside and the locals were extremely friendly and talkative. I can't wait to go back!
And double bonus, their Adjective Animal DIPA is above average. I took home these which I have not tried yet but am looking forward to.....(not the wine on the left). They are all either one offs or specialties so I could not pass them up.
Not sure what else is in Memphis but the short ride around town was very relaxing and enjoyable.

No, unfortunately not. This was a family vacation and the focus of the family was much different than my focus if I were on my own.Beer-lord wrote:Leigh, did you visit Wiseacre in Memphis? We did last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed their noon Coffee and brewery tour. Great little place and a seriously overlooked brewery.

Sounds like another trip is needed.
By the way, what did you bring home that didn't show up in your previous post?
