Thank y'all very much, I can tell that this is a hobby that I'm going to love. I like beer and I like doing things myself, so this is perfect. I'm gonna take things slow until I feel confident enough to experiment and make bigger batches, right now I'm more concerned with taste instead of abv, I'll experiment with abv when I have more experience. I'll try to keep y'all updated with how everything goes.

I think that's a good way to proceed. While I still make mistakes, I think my brewing improved most in that first year by making small batches frequently. That allowed me to experiment with different recipes and methods. Have fun, good luck.

Welcome to the Borg....glad you found us here. I started the same way you did. Made several batches of wine, then found I liked drinking beer better than wine. So I switched. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
