Go right ahead and make fun of the handicapped (me). At least I'm not 'lupulusly challenged'.
I'm sending each of you a roll of thick, electrical tape for Christmas. That'll take the place of a lump of coal in your stockings!

Also, as you Nashville meetup folks will remember from our Blackstone tour, Kent was planning to open a taproom in the brewery (right in the area where we were tasting). Well... it opened this week. Still a work in progress, but nice to have them open...

Very cool...Looks like a nice place to sit back and drink a few. I take it Kent's health is a bit better now?

That's cooll Swen. I think Josh puts out some solid beers. I always try to have a few bottles of Hop Dang Diggity on hand. Now see if you can get Yazoo and Blackstone to come my way. ;)
The Blackstone tap room is looking good.

Kent seems to be doing better these days. He was in good spirits the last time I talked to him.

The taproom, though unfinished, is pretty neat. A whole lot of people have never seen the place and were a bit taken aback by the size of it (esp. in comparison to Yazoo, who puts out more beer than Blackstone). As stated, it was a bit unfinished... the glass washing equipment wasn't in, so it was all Solo cups this week, for instance. But... $3 pints of standard beers, and $3 8oz pours of hi-gravs ($3 for Black Belle 2015!), so the price was right.

Kent mentioned while we were there that they were getting a few more fermenters. Yazoo has swapped a few of theirs for monster sized ones (120 gallons... see pic below), and as an added bonus, moved the smaller ones over to the barrel/wild/funk facility. More standard beers, and more wild beers! Score! But... neither of these breweries are planning to expand their footprint out of TN much. Yazoo pulled out of AL a couple years ago, and will likely only be filling local demands with this expansion. Blackstone is expanding in TN with their growth, but probably not any further (at least for the time being).

Oh, one more pic. This will be going into a future brew...

Locally grown and smoked malt from the great Corsair distillery/brewery. I really wanted to find a way to work in a malt house tour in the visit, but February wasn't real conducive to that...

If you get a chance to get Corsair spirits (or beer for that matter), you won't regret your purchase...

We'd love to have you all back, even if you are wearing the kilts...

Funk Fest weekend March 2016 would be a great meetup time... Or Brew at the Zoo in May, Volksfest in September, 12South Winter Warmer in December, etc...

Or maybe for this...

I was out for a walk on the beach this morning and there was a guy making massive bubbles that were a gorgeous color.

They have a soothing effect on me. Never took acid but I think about that when I see those things.

Guinness truffle from Schakolad European Chocolate Factory here in Franklin, TN. Quite good...
