1.007??? What in the world did you do to get it down that low? What yeast did you use?

I used two 1 cup scoops of Lallemand BYC-97 from Bela's IPA. Bela's IPA finished at 1.005, attenuation is not a problem at Naked Cat Brewery.

That's awesome. I can't wait to taste the differences in these beers. What did you come up with for an ABV?

It would be nice to do a side by side by side of yours, Pauls, and mine, but I think I would get rather drunk, rather fast.

OG 1.074 - FG 1.007 = 9%

So yes, a side by side by side would require a friend.

Did my second dry hop with 3 more oz tonite. Gonna keg Friday or sometime this weekend depending on my free time.
So, should I wait for the keg to carb and bottle fill these for you guys or naturally carb some in case you guys can't wait? I may have room in the kegerator soon since my soon is coming home this weekend and we should kill one but I don't usually rush carb those. So, how about I send you guys some in say.....2 weeks? Can you live that long without them?

As I may be the recipient of free beer here, I won't say one way or the other. I will take whatever I get, whenever I get it, however it is carbed.

1.007 - zoinks!

Ron, I may have some black beer laying around I can send you. Actually, I probably could send it right away and you wouldn't have to wait. Maybe UPS Next Day Early A.M. delivery would work. Will you be up for early delivery on Friday?

Kegged this today. Just like Chris, it's at 1.012 and puts it at almost 8.7% ABV. There was a massive amount of trub, more than usual. Pretty clear but I managed to get a bit more trub in the keg than I wanted. I'll lose a good cup or 3 of beer after it settles.
I'm going to let it sit at room temps for a few days to finish the stout then chill and gas it. Tasted great and had tons of aroma. That 2nd, 2 day dry hop, even at low temperature gave it some nose.

Ya think MAYBE the massive amount of hops had something to do with it? :p

Seriously though - congrats on the brew. Sounds like you guys done good.
