With being busier than a 1-armed paper hanger, but having tomorrow off while the wife has to work, cobbled up a quickie extract version of my Peak's Pike and will see how it comes out. Had to play with the hops a bit as the cascade is getting a little long in the tooth w/r/t alphas (just had them tested). I should be able to get this done, cleaned up and put away, and finish my chores by the time she gets home if all goes well. Just hope it doesn't snow....

I'm not brewing or bottling anything tonight, but I racked my second batch of pumpkin ale. I Really liked the first batch and I drank it up fast, didn't have a chance to share much of it except for with my wife, Daughter and my old neighbor, they liked it also. I made a couple small changes on this batch, Fresh home grown pumpkins and just a little more spice on the secondary tea. I've drank a lot of Southern Tier and Johnny rails Pumpkin beer this fall and I think I like the Johnny rails better then Southern Tier, but mine was very good also.........................

Just brewed a porter. Still in the primary. Sampling the latest in my Ancient Alien Series of Brews - "Star People Pale Ale". It's delicious. No label yet. I'm going to do it now. Cheers!

I bottled a 2.5 of Groomsman's Pride yesterday, and brewed a 2.5 of Accidental Altbier this morning. The Groomsman's Pride should be ready to drink by Christmas, which is good, because my daughter and her fiance are visiting for the holiday, and I want to show him that I can be consistent with my brewing. I'll make the "presentation batch" in late June/early July of next year, so it'll be in good shape for Labor Day weekend.

MB 2013 Nut Brown Seasonal is in the LBK. It is the best smelling MB I have done so far.

Just brewed up a batch of Mr. Beer's 2013 Spring Seasonal White IPA. I wanted to get at least one fermenter going this week, and with a limited schedule, a MB brew was a "quick fix". LOML and I both enjoyed the MB White IPA. We both agreed that while it was disappointing as a White IPA, it was a delightful spiced wit (which just happens to be her favorite style - resulting in her insistence on stockpiling several cans for future brewing; thus this batch was made for my sweetie). It has been so long since last I did a Mr. Beer concoction, I was a bit surprised at the limited amount of time it took from start to finish.
On an unrelated note, it is predicted to fall to 18 degrees Fahrenheit tonight in central North Carolina.
Guess it is time to close the pool for the season...

I dry hopped the fiver of King Pin IPA last night, and I plan to keg it tomorrow evening. Then, on Sunday, I'll brew a new recipe; White Panama. I've used that name before, for a blonde ale with orange, but was never happy with the result. This time, I'm starting over and making a relatively plain blonde ale (but with a touch of biscuit). I'm looking for a good summertime session ale with this.

I have a Porter that needs to be kegged & bottled this weekend. And I'd like to make another Hoppy Pale Ale before I get into some lagers as the winter approaches.
