Ibasterd wrote:Duff Dry at Moe’s Tavern in Universal Studios Orlando. Is a Stout style. Pours black with a brown head and aroma of caramel and chocolate. Taste is light and creamy, of toasted caramel, chocolate, and roasted malt with a soft, smooth finish. Refreshing brew for a day at the theme park. If it's good enough for homer, It's good enough for me.
Florida Beer Company makes all of the beers for Universal, so kudos to Universal for going with a craft brewer instead of just remarketing an Amber Bock or other BMC for their house beers. They didn't have the Moe's open yet when we last visited, and thus this wasn't available, but the beer in Hogwarts was, and it wasn't bad at all.

French Saison (Wyeast Labs #3711)
Super High Gravity Ale (White Labs #WLP099)

used a starter with both yeasts temp 70 to 75 There were 3 sugar feeding of a pound the Super High Gravity Ale starter was added with the first feeding. I used vanilla sugar for the feedings
Pure O2 was used at the start of fermentation and with each feeding

Currently finishing up an American Wheat Ale brewed about six months ago. Next up in my new Brewdeamon is a Mild Brown Ale. Both kits were from More Beer. After that most likely a Best Bitter Ale.

MrB Seasonal Nut Brown Ale... Not my favorite style, but this a good one as an 'as is' recipe.

I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber

Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

It was Nashville beer for the Vandy bowl game yesterday, so we'll do an Indiana beer for the BSU bowl game. Blackheart English IPA from Three Floyds...
