My starter is still spinning. Nothing going on but a whirlpool. I do have a pretty excellent whirlpool going, so hopefully the yeast is still multiplying like mad vs having got frozen in the back of my fridge. Hope to see some sign of life tomorrow.

Gonna do my first pumpkin ale tomorrow.
It was a request from my daughter and her fiance. They are coming home at

Attempting a Bourbon Barrel Stout using Mr Beer Winter Dark as base

1 can Winter Dark
1 lb Dark DME
.25 oz Saaz 20 min
.25 Saaz 7 min
Soaking 1/2 oz Dark roast oak cubes in 4 oz Bourbon. Will add in 2 weeks for last week of fermentation

This is all educated guess work so will see how it turns out
Qbrew give SRM 29, IBU 60, ABV 6.8 %

I brewed my last patersbier of the season, 4.8 gallons split between my two new LBCs. A good way to break them in.

It's basically a light version of Chimay Red, except I tossed in 1/4oz of Nelson Sauvin as a flavor addition just to make it interesting. The slight grapyness I get from that should play nice with the D-180L/WLP500 plum/fruit/spice.

I'm going to dryhop the Conan IPA today, and then I might consider doing a Mr. B batch or something since I have so much still on the shelf. Or I may just mow the lawn. I guess we'll see where the day leads...
