Since forever, there is a degree that large industrial brewing equipment is simply trying to make beer as good as someone can make at home.
The thing that always brings home the difference in scale to me is seeing boxes of hops being added while I measure them out on a small handheld scale.

I'd hate to have to get the grain out of that thing.

In due time, and you will have one of those huge igloo coolers like you see on the sidelines of football to mash in.

Thanks Ron! That made me smile. Those look like 9-12 week old kittens and they are a hoot at that age. Heck, Sphynx cats are a hoot at any age!

I've got a friend in Portland who has cycled all the way up there with a group and camps in the summer.
You don't appear to be in cycling clothes however LOL. Looks a bit nippy for that.

I envy you, Rebel. While I've been to crater lake twice, I wasn't able to do breweries when I've been up there and Deschutes would definitely be one I'd visit. My sister lives in Portland and it was a great starting point for all the beautiful things up that way. it's been a while since I've been back up there but I will go back again. But next time I'll need 2 weeks to visit all the breweries I want to visit.
Enjoy, be safe and let me know how a Fresh Squeezed tastes on tap

Stopped by Rogue Brewing in Newport, OR on Wednesday afternoon. Nice location by the docks, next to an aquarium. Drank a few delicious brews there.
