Kegged Colorful Dreams IIPA tonight. A total of 6oz dry hop takes up ALOT of beer. Good thing I did a 6 gallon batch so I was able to keg a full 5 gallons.

A while back, Linus posted the recipe for Gerst, so I gave it a go for the first time three weeks ago. I had intended to brew this in time to have it ready for this weekend, but that wasn't to be. Well, fast forward to tonight and we are bottling. My volume was lower than I intended at brew time, so I only ended up with maybe 2.4 gallons at bottling. Kept the hydro pull for tasting. Taste is... well... taste is 100% spot on. Wow. Malty goodness. Really happy with this. 6.0% ABV.

Brewed 5 gallons of Rick's I Failed To Jump Over The White House Fence Honey Ale. Biggest brewing / bottling week in history for Iron Mountain Brewery - brewed 10 gallons and bottled 5 gallons.

Tomorrow I'll be bottling the Great Scott 60/-

This is one of my experimental trying-a-new-style batches as part of my New Year's Resolution. I haven't even tasted a sample yet, but I think it'll be a pretty good beer.

Then, on Sunday, I'll be brewing my first attempt at a Weizen. In both cases, I don't know what to expect, and I'm not familiar enough with the styles to know if they'll be good examples of a 60/- or a Weizen. But if they end up tasting good, I'll be happy.

Brewing a new recipe this morning, "Rye Pale Ale." Got a late start. On the plus side, I don't have to feel guilty about drinking a beer while I do it, now that's it's noon.

I enjoyed the Founders Breakfast Stout I recently discovered so much, so I tried to recreate it from stuff I had on hand. Really looking forward to this one. Tomorrow, a gallon of wine will join it as cooler roommates.

Brewed up a batch of 'Viewcrest Malt Liquor' today: Pale Malt; 68%, Flaked Corn; 26%, Crystal 40L; 6%. Simcoe for bittering, US Saaz for flavor & aroma additions... Cooled to 56 degrees and pitched Fermentis Saflager S-23. Figured I would do a Homebrew similar to this local malt liquor...

Bottled the Maibock. Brewed up a simple steep/extract Cream Ale like substance with what I had on hand. I need to go shopping for brewing supplies. My stock is almost empty.
