Here's the third and final Bud Project 12. This one was Batch 23185 (Williamsburg), a vanilla bourbon cask lager. Far and away the worst of the three. Not getting anything from the bourbon staves. Just a vanilla Bud. Ahh, well... to science...
So, I truly recommend the 94534, but I'd give the others a pass, especially the 23185. The 43299 was inoffensive but pretty bland.
Also went out to dinner at Buca tonight, so I opted to go Italian since they offered no local craft options... Peroni on tap. Inoffensive...

A true lager made with
2 cans Evil One Pilsner (old Pilot House)
1 lb of light DME
Saaz Hops for flavor and aroma only
Carbonation is not optimal but my basement/garage temp has been in upper 30's since bottling so may need to give it more time.
Flavor is crisp and clean

I tried one of my nong orange's tonight. I think there were too many saphir hops added. it was, um, gross. the sad part is, I have 8 gallons worth. if they don't get better, its gonna be a sad day when I dump them.

Loving this 2XONE from Southern Tier Brewing Company!
It's a SMASH using Ale Yeast, Special Pale Malt and Mosaic Hops through and through.
8.1% and Deep Gold in color with a fair amount of effervescence...
Yum! It's really good... Think Double Imperial Pale Ale... What's interesting is that it has a lot of depth of flavor and complexity, probably more due to the Mosaic than anything else, although there is enough of the Special Pale Malt to back the hops up admirably.
