I wanted another Golden but was over-ruled by SWMBO who rightly pointed out that in 10-12 years from now I may not be in any shape to care for an old 70 lb dog. Therefore we have a new Westie puppy for the past 10 days. Very cute and playful and getting along well with our Yorkie. We miss Charlie still but little Maggie is making it easier
I'm so glad! My cousin has westies and they are cute. Yours is one lucky dog, for sure. :)

Have a neighbor with 3 West Highland Terriers. She does agility, nosework, and groundwork with them, my bigger dogs think they are fun too even though small. They are cool little dogs, much more to my liking then something like a Toy Poodle or Bichon. You should enjoy her very much.

Have been thinking about this thread and I'm sorry to bump it with sad news, but we are down to just the Bassett on the dog side. We lost Killian earlier in the year and have just lost Willow. They have all lived the life of royalty. We love them while they are here and cry like babies when we lose them.

How are everyone else's pets doing?
New guys post em if you've got em. Pets are good therapy.

Sorry to hear of your losses Jeff!

It's a very difficult thing to experience for sure.

We are blessed with healthy pets, Loki who is almost 8 and Miss Kitty who is approaching 16.

Sorry to hear of your losses Inkleg, that's the only downfall of owning a pet....loosing them. But I am glad you bumped this thread, I just started back at the first post and went through them all, brings back good memories. You started this thread when the borg was just starting out and young and it was a good one. Hope others can add and we can keep it going.

Not sure why the other one was so small...

Here's a better shot of Loki watching his favorite kind of TV...

Giant Animal/Reptile/Shark/Snake Attacks City/Submarine/Ship/Aircraft/Other Animal/Reptile/Shark/Snake!

Yeah, that's what he likes... And NCIS... Go figure...

Sorry for your loss Jeff. You and Jody are in our thoughts and prayers. Losing a pet IS losing a family member.

Thanks for the laugh. It helps. Except for NCIS Willow liked the same shows. Well that and MythBusters..........and any WWII show.
She was our silly puppy.

I've already expressed my feelings to you via phone Jeff but I thought I'd share a dumb pic I took of Charlie recently as I was outdoors relaxing. To get my attention he sticks he head between my legs (keep it clean here guys) and I put a lock on him and he won't leave. He loves it. Goofy, sure but that's animals for ya.

Jeff, We've had our fare share of losing pets. We lost Nikki almost 3 years ago and I still miss her.

However we've been doing a lot of fostering of rescue dogs over the last year which has had its ups and downs. The last 2 fosters we had were failures, meaning we ended up adopting them both on Sunday.

So here are Gretta (Lab/Pit), Baxter (Golden/Collie) and our Original rescue, Molly (German Shepard/Dachshund). Oh yeah, my wife and two of my three daughters too.
