Ahh I go make a new six pack every three days or so. Usually have two or three a night after work. Especially for seasonal beers, (christmas, and pumpkin mainly) I like to get a lot of different breweries so I can try them without committing to buying a 6 or 12 pack of that beer alone. Will post tomorrows haul.... tomorrow :P

My opinion would be to consider the Hibiscus (Flower) as a Hop (Flower) and drink it now.
Thanks for the confirmation Big Papa that's what we were thinking as well.

Nice to see crowlers making their way out here!

Yeah the crowlers are cool. I got a couple groupons for hangar 24, part of the deal was taking home a crowler with whatever you want in it. I had no idea what a crowler was and when I saw it I thought it was pretty damn cool. I hope other southern California breweries start doing this here and there

If you tell us something has ginger in it we'll probably try it.

Figuring that last night's family Christmas gift exchange party will just about kill my two kegs (it did), I went out on Saturday and put together a nice little assortment of favorites + 1.
Sierra Nevada Celebration: This is an annual release near the holidays. It's a bit amber in color and one that my buddy waits for every year. I didn't like it. It finishes really weird and almost astringent to me. If I find it on tap I'll give it a second chance before writing it off, though.
Hermitage Citra single-hopped IPA: I've sung these praises before.
Almanac Simcoe Sour: WHAT?!?! They took their yummy sour and dry hopped it with Simcoe? I'm in!
Saint Archer Pale Ale: Yep, recently acquired by Miller-Coors but their IPA and Pale Ale are outstanding. Hope they get left alone, but in case they don't I need to have some more now.
Firestone Easy Jack: 'nuff said.
Lagunitas Censored: They call it a "copper ale" which I think is a good thing. It's not really an amber and most definitely not a (Irish) red. Copper in color, hoppier than an american amber and just plain good.

Nice haul!
Love the Saint Archer Pale, I also hope they don't mess with it. Had some Easy Jack last night, good stuff.
As for the Celebration Ale...You know a few years back when I first discovered it for myself, I absolutely loved it, couldn't get enough. Got a case and if I saw it on tap, that's what I was drinking. Next year, same thing. Then last year it came out and I bought a six pack and I really didn't enjoy it at all, in fact I dumped 2 of them because I didn't want to drink them and would rather use the bottles. Tried it on tap once and never looked for it again. I'll have to try this years batch and see if I still don't like it.

Interesting... I had seen Kealia's post and the next day saw a 12 pack in the store and got one. Just opened a couple today and they were extremely carbed, forming a shaving cream thick head, but other than that BB2 and I thought they were pretty good.
We have not had previous releases so curious what changed for you?

And I can't speak to what's changed since I've never had one before. If I did it was YEARS ago before I liked IPAs and I wouldn't have liked it there either.
I would like to try another one on tap somewhere to ensure I didn't get a bad bottle. Then again, I'm not a HUGE Sierra Nevada fan. I find some of their offerings to have a harsh finish.

I have enjoyed my tastings of this year's batch of Celebration Ale. Not as 'citrusy' as many IPAs, still delicious!

Not really a sixer, but I'll pour six glasses out of these.

Nice Chris! No Black IPA to be found here, but Ashton did say that Goose Island Coffee Stout would be available Friday.
The Terrapin Ales from the Woods beer is their HopZilla IIPA aged in
Richland Rum barrels.
Oh look, two bottles. Looks like one is coming to Asheville.

Nice. I haven't seen the Black IPA here yet but I haven't really searched for it either. Let me what you think of the Grainiac. I had that in my hand and then put it back.
