Yes I had bees for 20 years before and up to six hives, I had bees when I first joined the old MB forum around 2010 but got washed away in a flash flood and lost all and most of equipment and that was about ten years ago. I pieced together enough old stuff I had to start one new hive this spring. I would like to get 2 more going next year but all I would want now. Guess I have to open the wallet to buy some new equipment. Bee keeping is fun but work.

Not that far away for a easy a day trip, BUT the ride back home might not be so good....

I have a neighbor who keeps a bunch of hives but she does it "remotely", IE she places them on local CSA farms, so the bees pollinate the crops and then later she collects them.

Morebeer shipping has gotten a little faster now again, I ordered on Mon. morning and got it Fri. from PA.
Last spring/summer it was about 2-3 weeks, before that about 2 days.

So we have have had him back for awhile now. He actually likes us and hard to believe a reptile has a personality.

I have a friend who I haven't seen since pre-COVID. When he gets invested in a topic, he gets really, really invested in a topic (in this case homebrewing), and he goes all in... but then many times loses interest and moves on to something else (in this case, bourbon collecting). So, I get a text to look outside, and I find a box of 26 beer books, an unopened Brewers Best kit, and an unopened Catalyst fermenter. I guess I need to finally brew the beer I intended to brew over Thanksgiving...
