Awesome. I haven't driven a cart in a long while. Maybe a trip to the farm is required LOL.

Looks like will be on the east coast a long the ocean, I am almost by the PA border to the west of me. We get the lake effect from Lake Erie and just far enough away and higher elevation to get a lot of snow. Don't think this one will get us anymore then normal amount. we are in ski country here.

I *REALLY* wish we'd see some snow like that.

We get almost all of our precipitation as snow. We're in a multi year drought. December had more than average precipitation, but January was low. And we need several years of above average precipitation to get close to normal.

If we don't start getting snow, we're going to have to start calling the great salt lake the mediocre salt lake.

I get lake effect like Berryman, but normally not quite as much. But I have had 4 feet of snow in 24 hours before, and 18" to 2 feet in 24 hours isn't all that crazy here, and 1 foot in 24 hours is "common". There was close to 2 feet on the ground here earlier this week where I'm at (not drifts, literally 2' deep snow). I had to dig "ditches" for the dogs to get out in to the yard. It's compacted a bit but still close to 18" in many places.

I believe BP's area actually gets lake effect from the Great Salt Lake sometimes, but that doesn't count as the snow he needs to help replenish its water volume.

Anyways, I have been Nordic skiing a lot to take advantage of it. 60k so far this week. If you got snow you got to do something in it to keep sane right?

I definitely get Lake effect snow. I'm about 20 miles north of SLC, and much closer to the lake, so I'll sometimes get a foot or more and my daughter will get a couple of inches.

And you're right about the snow needed to replenish thw water. Mountain snow is more important for that.

Is it wrong that I am irrationally exuberant about a power outlet? For the longest time, I've had to run an extension from the 20 amp backyard outlet for my electric brew system because it blew the fuse on the 15 amp outlets in the garage. I also have an electric hybrid car, and it occasionally blew the same fuse. We had a reason to have an electrician to the house today, and I asked how easy it would be to run a dedicated 20 amp in the garage. 20 minutes later... I really should have done this many years ago...Image
