Roger - do they bottle with nitrogen? Or just an 'overall' feel that you haven't nailed?

They bottle two different versions... the standard...

and the nitro...

Here is a good article on how they bottled the Nitro without a widget...

Oh, and I went Nahrwal for my stout of the day...

Nooooo!!! I missed it!?

Looks like I will have to celebrate tomorrow. Well, today, but you know what I mean.

That Narwhal is a mighty tasty stout. Good for hop fans too.

Think I will break out the founders breakfast... mmmmmm

Looking forward to tomorrow evening.

Beer Lord, the vanilla chocolate stout isn't conditioning out like I expected. It is drinkable, not fantastic. It started out on the sweet side, what I wanted, but the vanilla was a bit much. I used 5 T in 5 gals of beer. Now, it isn't as sweet, still ok, the vanilla is toned down, but is no longer hop balanced. I mix it 2:1 with my American Ale (on the hoppy side) and it tastes good.

Loss of sweetness is what is puzzling me.... any ideas out there?

Cool I didn't know there was a stout day but happen to be fermenting one.

Since it is an Imperial I'll be able to toast next year. :give:

Cool. I'm headed to Colorado in two weeks so I'm going to try to find some while there and bring it back it my suitcase.

The Nitro has a head that looks so much creamier and denser.
