Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Go ahead. Have that extra slice of pumpkin pie w/ the big scoop of whipped cream on top. You won't get that chance again until.... well, next month!

Well I'm glad it was just me and BB2 and that I was cooking and not brewing.
Had everything all prepped and ready to pop in the oven the day before and was proud of myself 'cause I was going to watch football and not spend the day in the kitchen.

Wanted to time it so we were eating before the Cowboys game started. Put the turkey in at noonish and set the timer so I could put the dressing in for 1 1/2 hrs... ding... in it goes and set the timer again for 60 min. so I could put in the greenbean casserole at T30...ding...in it goe...uh!!! wait a minute why doesn't my house smell like turkey and why isn't the dressing bubbling yet?

Ruh Roh :( When the timer went off I just put the pot in the oven but didn't turn the oven back on.

We ate at about 6 instead of 3 and didn't have room for pie and pumpkin ale. :wow:

Oh well we get to try again today. :jumpy:

Our oven just has a simple timer on it that beeps until I turn it off. It has no control over the oven (gas). That way I can use it for other important things like timing my mashes and boils. :hammer:

BB, I've done that before.
We had a lovely Thanksgiving at Jane's Brother-in Law's in CT. I call it a Hallmark Thanksgiving, large house, fireplace, dozens of people. I really enjoy seeing my wife's sisters, nieces, great nieces. And people liked my beer, B Cave Haus Pale. Jane's oldest niece Tara, a kind and wise and lovely woman, told me she was fully prepared to praise the beer even if wasn't good. But that wasn't necessary, she thought it was great.

It was a great Thanksgiving! I took a 12 pack of my Honey Porter and a 12 pack of Newcastle Werewolf to the family gathering and brought home less than a six pack!

That may explain why I have little memory of Friday.
