Hey TooT. Im a former Husky as well. Did you know John Palmer went to Tech? When he moved to California he missed Strohs Dark and couldnt find a good beer so decided to start brewing his own. I really need to find a recipe for that as it was our house beer all the time I was there.D34THSPAWN wrote:Gratz from a former/temporary yooper/husky

I didn't drink while I was there sadly, I switched schools before I turned 21. It was a wonderful school just didn't work out for me. What was your major?

Engineering of course! At the time there wasnt a whole lot else. Although I didnt do this <ehmm> the trick was to join a dart or pool league. The bars just got used to seeing you there and no questions asked. So I am told.D34THSPAWN wrote:I didn't drink while I was there sadly, I switched schools before I turned 21. Just before I started there was an article in Playboy about party schools. Tech - with only a few thousand students - actually made it. We got a simple "Sorry guys, we dont't rate professionals. 6.2 (or something like that) beers per student per day." It was sort of our claim to fame. So I am told.

I was Mechanical Engineering, Now I go to school at UMD but I am still a husky at heart. Yeah, if you aren't an outdoorsy person there isn't much to do up there except drink, especially in the winter.
