Be careful not to cover up the mild, coffee-ish flavor with too much. I liked it but wanted more of that in my version.
I would suggest leaving it and if you like it enough to brew it again, make changes next time.

Since it's a dry hop for aroma, I wouldn't think it would hide much of the flavor. I just like my IPA's (any color) with a ton of hop aroma.

You're right but there is some of that coffee-toffee type aroma that comes off this beer that is nice. I don't know if I consider this a true, black IPA. At least, mine wasn't like many of the black IPA's I 've had but I didn't use their kit, only their recipe.
It is a good beer and one that I would make again.

Whoa. Crisis averted. Right before dinner tonight I decided to open up the chamber and check on the fermentation. She was about to blow.

So I quickly grabbed another airlock and sprayed with stars an and filled it up and replaced it. 20 minutes later, after I finished my dinner, I went to the basement to take another look. Wow, didn't take long at all.

Cleaned it up again and put in a blowoff tube. So far, she's doing fine with that.

Didn't you brew this Sunday? It's still blowing that much?

Yup...brewed on Sunday. It wasn't blowing like that this morning. I think I just got lucky on timing my peak into the fridge to check on it.

Forgot to update this one....I kegged this one this past Saturday. Sitting on gas and will tap it and give it a try this weekend!!
