Thank guys!

I will increase the Cystal. I will hold on to the Honey malt for another brew. I do like doing the grain steeps, feel it adds another layer to the brews taste.

It most definitely does make a difference.
Let us know how this goes and post a picture of a pint when it's done.

Why do I want to shout "IPA TEAM, ASSEMBLE". (think Anchorman) Yep, drop the honey and go with the recipe Chris posted. 3 out of 3 Hop Heads think you'll enjoy. :clink:

It is amazing how it came together. Looks like not a very difficult recipe to brew up. I think most newer brewers get the impression that IPAs should be difficult to put together and brew. But I have tested out those variuos hops in my own brews. Now , with help, I can put them together with the right process in mind .

Thanks again for the feedback and help. I will be sure pass along the progress.

Going to shoot for this one later this week. More snow in the forecast, on my day off may throw off the schedule though.

Brewed my first IPA yesterday, granted I did a black IPA as a kit. But all in all I think this as my second all grain will be even better. Only missed beer smith og by 100th. All the hop heads here sure have helped me with their posted knowledge. Good luck I'm sure you will enjoy that brew.

Looking for it to be a straight forward IPA, nothing to complicated for the first one.
