Kings v Sharks series is a doozy...who will win tomorrow night? What player will take over or will dominate the game? same between the Avs v WIld? I'll go with Kings and Avs here.

what say you?

Yeah, that's a good series too, T8r. Good brawl last night as well.

Kings winning three in a row say they have some momentum heading to game 7. Still, only three teams in the NHL's history have come back from a 0-3 deficit to win a series. So the Sharks have history on their side I guess.

San Jose is not getting great goaltending play either from, Niemi. He's giving up nearly four goals per game. That's not how win Stanley Cups. You look at this series, he's given up 3, 2, 3 in their wins and then 5 3 in their losses. Yes, it's not ALL on Niemi since in their last three losses (2 with him in net) San Jose has scored a combined 4 goals while yielding 13 against. Not exactly the ratio you are looking for to move forward in the post season.

It is at home for San Jose, so that have that going for them ... Which is nice (Caddy Shack quote)

I would normally say give me the home team in their own barn, but I am going with L.A.'s momentum to win this series tomorrow night in the Shark Tank. Not to mention Marleau has been a non-factor in their last three losses with only two assists and his ice time seems to be reducing with each passing game.

LA is in a rhythm and San Jose's history of crumbling under pressure is starting to show. I'm picking LA over SJ tomorrow as well. In the meantime, just tuned into the NYR @ PHI game, sippin on a Summer Quencher, and keeping track of my Orlando Solar Bears game simultaneously as they try to come back from a 3-games-to-none hole and win game 6 at home tonight.

Mario and Jagr made me an overdressed bird fan. Go Pens!
Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain.
Quaintest thoughts — queerest fancies,
Come to life and fade away:
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today.

Great games last night for sure. Wild won in OT and will face Chicago in the next round. First team in that series to win an away game. Funny too, every other game went to OT in that series as well. Game 1, 3, 5 and 7 all went to OT. Just a weird occurrence I guess.

Yup, caught the end of the NY v. Philly game as well!!!

Ready for the next round to get underway.

Who will win this round?

Ducks v Kings? Ducks
Blackhawks v Wild? Blackhawks
Pens v Rangers? Rangers (even tho I hate 'em)
Habs v Bruins? Bruins (even tho I hate 'em) hoping for the upset here

What say y'all? :give: gotta agree with philm00x

agree with your picks, t8r, save for the ducks/kings match up. i think the kings will take that one. also, hoping the wild pull off the upset.

I HATE "watching" hockey on the radio. But I was at work last night so I was forced to. It's amazing how much of a fair-weather fan I am. I use to love the North Stars but when they got sold and moved to Duh-las I lost all interest in professional hockey. I still love college hockey. But anyway...I'm a fan again. And I'm pretty confident in saying that the f***ing Black hawks will beat us in the next round but this is, after all, the NHL Play-Offs and anything can happen.

In the mean time...
THE WILD WIN!!! THE WILD WIN!!! :hammer:
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

I want the Kings to move on but the Ducks show me a very strong, deep team if they can stay healthy.
