I favored dark malty beers until I started brewing, got a sniff of some different kinds of hops, and went all hophead. Now that's the part I enjoy most, playing with different hop combos to see what comes out. I mostly use a simple grain bill or uncomplicated extract, then mess around with whatever hops I've been reading about or that catch my eye at the LHBS. Right now I've got a Nelson Sauvin ale that should be ready early next week. Licking my chops over this one!

alb, that seems likely (about Naked Cat).
After having that Pecker Wrecker IPA, I'm learning to like "hoppy" as long as it's the right kind of hops and with a strong malt backbone.

Yeah, experimenting with hops is one of my favorite aspects of brewing. FedoraDave's American Ale, King Pin IPA, and Crown Top Pale Ale all have similar grain bills, but the difference is the hops. Totally different personalities among those three beers. It's fascinating.
As far as the Naked Cat .... um ... ew.
