I also am not sure about racking with these. Right now, I use an auto-siphon, even with my LBKs. I don't know if that would work as well with the conical, and I really don't want to go the spigot/hose route.
For the C-Brew, hooking the hose to the spigot and adding a bottle wand was a no effort ordeal. works great.

side by side, I like the C-Brew more for a few reasons:
foot print is smaller. even tho it's a wee bit taller
trub keeps out of the way at the bottom.
easier to clean.

I stopped using the LBK's once I got the C-Brew.

Isn't the spigot basically the same thing? 7/16" vinyl tubing setup? That's how I'm batch priming and bottling now w/ the LBK.

It's all good then. Thanks for clarifying that.

Below is the response I received from Sam @ Brew Demon

Hello Bob,

We are working on a large conical fermenter for our 6 gallon BrewDemon kits…it will not be available until summer or fall of 2014.

Cheers!

Sam

Hi just wondering if the fermenter is ever going to be available for 5 - 6 gallon sized batches?

Krausen at 24 hours on a batch of American Philosophy Ale with about 1.75 lbs of Briess Pilsen Light and 2 fromundas.

Kinda takes me back, my first batch in the LBK was a WCPA.

Same HME, new fermenters and names.

I did like the Conical but I thought bottling was a bit scary as the trub was right up to the spigot and I did get some in the last couple of bottles. The walls of the conical aren't as sturdy as the LBK's so if you have to move the valve handle around much be careful!! I like the look and it's f*cking cool when the bubbler is going off.

a small trick... attach a hose and bottling wand to the valve.. that way you don't have to move it.
another small trick.. place something thin under the two of three legs to tilt the conical. (adjust the valve so that it's between two of the legs.)

I wasn't sure if the dang thing would tip over if I blocked up two of the legs. I did use a wand to I was referring to when I drew off a sample or like when I was attaching the wand.

How the hell are ya, Clyde??
