In related news, Garth is putting out a new double album in October. Yeah, my tastes range from Pink Floyd to Garth to Haelstorm to 80's hair metal and everything in between.

You had me at 'comfortably numb' so I have it playing very loud right now to the dismay of the boss. Too bad, it's sorely needed.
I wouldn't want this loud music to start a 'division' bell between us!

Same here. Music likes are all over the place. Could you imagine listening to only one type of music? Sounds very boring

But my all time faves are Wish You Were Here, Live at Pompeii and Dark Side of the Moon.

But, I also like Gilmore's Live From Gdansk... Check it out if you haven't yet...

When I was in middle school, I had my little cassette tape collection - All of which was Floyd. I will listed to both of those albums and enjoy them depending on my mood.

Do you like "Obscured by Clouds?"

I'm not really sure which my favorite album is. Perhaps Wish You Were Here, it's a tough pick between that and Dark Side of the moon. But I could listen to just "Echos" (From Meddle) or "Careful With that Axe" and "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" (Ummagumma) and be really happy too.

I literally wore out the grooves on my vinyl copy of Dark Side of the Moon in college in the mid 70's. Everyone is right about Gilmour on guitar. I have been trying to copy him unsuccessfully for 40 years.

Forget about me getting his sound right, I can barely play some of his solos. His black strat is tweaked so well it's almost impossible to copy. When you watch him play, the solos aren't that fancy but his style, vibrato and mastery of the fretboard is just amazing.

As part of my pain management therapy. They wanted me to learn to play an instrument. Played guitar as a kid and school. So now I am basically messing around with Floyd tunes. Just like 40 years ago I still can not get them right. Along with Gilmour's incredible technique, his mastery of the electronics he uses is mind blowing. What do you guys think of his solo efforts?
