I am deliberately waiting for cooler weather before I brew again. I have plenty in my pipeline to sustain me. There is a home brew competition coming up in Topeka on Nov 8. I thought about brewing something for it. But truthfully, I am just not that interested. I would have to brew something within style regulations instead of brewing something that I like. I may volunteer to help out with the thing but I am really not all that interested in entering.

No way could I wait to brew that long though you get cooler much earlier than we do. The longest I can go is once a month and that's too long no matter what my pipeline is. I would go crazy and I'm already crazy to begin with.
Our club does a number of 50 gallon brews where you pay $10, get some BBQ and take home 5 gallons. It all depends what they brew but it sounds like lots of fun whether I take some home or just watch and help.

When I hit my stride, I do brew every week, keeping my five-gallon rig and my two 2.5 gallon rigs going simultaneously.

But I do drink two or three beers every evening, and a bit more than that on weekends. And I like having a lot of variety available. In past years, I could pick and choose from five or six styles, and I liked being able to do that. This year, I had a couple of bad batches, and that didn't help keep the pipeline full.

Fortunately, my brother is vacationing in Indiana, and he promised to bring home a couple sixers of Fat Tire for me, so I'll have that available over the next week or two. And by then, Fall Production will have started up. I think I made a mistake last fall by starting off with a pilsner, which naturally took more time to mature, so I began with a deficit. This fiscal year, I won't make a lager until the pipeline is already full, and I can afford the wait.

I couldn't drink a few beers every night if I wanted to. The most I ever drink is 2-3 beers, only on a weekend night, and not most weekends. If I drink more than 4 beers, I get a headache.

I like the variety, and I like brewing 5 gallon extract recipes, so brewing every three weeks for a few months, then taking a month or two off, then brewing a few more is good.

To each their own. :clink:

I brew a batch just about every week. I give away and trade a bunch of beers; if the pipeline starts to get thin, I just give away less. A couple of people I trade with trade homebrew for homebrew, one gives me home smoked salmon in trade for homebrews.
