I need to buy a growler or two to start getting fresh off the tap beers from the local joints. That IPA sounds really decent.

Unfortunately I have a ton of growlers. Although many places will skirt the rules, there is some law here in Michigan that you need to have a growler with the brewery's name on it. But on another note, many have dropped prices to $2-3 for the growler itself and it is considered a deposit so if you are traveling and know you wont be back for awhile you can get a few beans back.

But yes, the only thing that comes close to a good home brew is a good local brew, no matter where "local" might be for you.

I do have to say it was quite tasty. More malty than most IPAs and very well balanced. Not a punch you in the face hop blast that you usually see. The bitterness certainly was there but was also very well balanced. I need to ask him what type of yeast he used (or maybe even get the recipe) as I still have a half pound of the stuff to use up.

Only thing that sucks is I'm limited to either 32 oz or 128 oz.... Stupid Florida laws.
