This is so true. I didn't drink at all when I was in high school / college. Just didn't care for it. I didn't develop an appreciation for wine until I took a business trip to Italy, in my late 20's, and the locals taught me about different kinds of wine and how to pair them with food, etc. And I didn't develop an appreciation for beer until I traveled to Australia on business a couple years after that. So you never know, Dave. Your son may develop a taste for (or at least an appreciation for) good beer as he gets older and/or exposed to the cultural and gustatory aspects of fine beverages. And if not... well, more beer for you! :fedora:

I just want him to make an informed and intelligent decision for himself regarding beer.

If his first experience with it is Coors Light, he's not going to know what real beer is. I don't care if he doesn't like it, but I want him to know he doesn't care for well-made beer. And Muddy Creek Lager is definitely a well-made beer. But if he's not a beer drinker, then he's not a beer-drinker. But at least he'll have tasted good beer in making that decision.
