To get this post back on topic. :p
I'd do the IPA first and then use some of the yeast slurry for the IIPA.

I am also debating about a new yeast to try. I have always used Wyeast 1056 for my IPAs. Planning on adding the late addition hops post boil in a hop stand.

Now here is another twist to the tale. I have the grains for 2 of each of the kits, total of 4 kits. But only the hops for 2. The first kits arrived damaged with the hops missing. NB replaced the kits. Now what would the BORG brew?

Twice the grains but only the 'normal' set of hops? Sounds like an Imperial something is about to be born.

I'd save the grains for another brew. Some hops and yeast from LHBS and I'd be off.

This is what we did when we got a messed up kit order fixed and we ended up with four brews since we split the 5 gallon recipes.

You must have some hops and yeast stashed over there somewhere.

You know I do. I have a pound of this and a pound of that, yes hops. Plenty of grain too. I need to brew this winter. Lost some brew this past year just from it getting too old & stale. Think I am going to a souring bugs to the stuff in secondary just to freshen things up

Well!! Life sucks!!! Back in the hospital again!!! So brewing is on hold again. The CASCADE MOUNTAINS WEST COAST IMPERIAL IPA was the winner. Blood pressure took a nosedive last night, 53/48.

Jeez, I'm so sorry you keep going to the hospital. I hope they get you well very soon. You just keep thinking about the Imperial IPA and you should be well in no time.
