You should be up and around in no time. Have had both knees done, pretty much no cartilage left. That is what being on a college ski team did for me.

Sorry to say I'm alive and well. Been home over 90 minutes and just chillin the knee. Only thing is he told me no bath or shower for 10 days. Really? Does he know I'm Irish/Italian, it's still summer here and we sweat garlic and cheese?
Ron, there's still a tiny bit of Hoptagon clone left for you.
Thanks again all for the well wishes.
Now back to pity mode so I can have my wife wait on me continuously.

Maybe you can rig that cooling thing to the outside of your kettle to help chill the wort quicker.

A tough night last night but I managed to get a few hours sleep. I'm not smelling bad yet.

The first few nights were the worst. I had to sleep with a pillow under my knee to be somewhat comfortable and since I sleep on my side or stomach that still didn't help much!

Don't know if you can call it lucky, but had abdominal surgery, cut 15" in the same place 3 times in 6 months, but had a wound vac cause part of the incision was infected after the first 2. Was able to use the water proof covering, that created the vacuum for the unit to pull drainage, after the third time and able to take a shower. Absolutely know what your dealing with on that front!

They gave me a Tens machine ($413 my insurance paid for it) to keep and I can use it 5 times a day for 1 hour each time. It sends small electric shocks to the area to help the muscles move and greatly reduce pain. Works pretty well.

One of the most important things now is to work with your physical therapist. After most arthroscopic knee surgery your quadriceps muscles on that side will turn to mush unless you really work them. The inside of your knee is now fixed but you will need to aggressively rehab those muscles. Good luck and glad the surgery went well.
