All done. My OG came in at 1.072. Color was clear mahogany brown, maybe a touch darker than an O'fest. Aroma at this point was just sweet wort. I could detect a hint of the spices that were added. Nothing really overpowered anything at this point. Everything seemed to be fairly balanced. Looking forward to drinking another good one Jim!!!

Sounds like a great day of brewing instead of a bad day at work.
Looking forward to the follow up.

Awesome. Mine is in the chamber at 68F and the airlock is bubbling away. I hope your going to taste it before you pitch the yeast, I'm looking forward to hear what you think.

Whoa...just opened up the chamber to perv a little bit. It's a good think I did. The airlock was full of foam. A quick sanitize of a little tubing and the blow-off system was enabled. Good thing I looked or it would have been a mess in a couple of hours.

I hit the OG square on while I can smell the spices esp. the cinnamon. I thought it tasted kind ginger breadish. Thanks for the heads up on the airlock. I have my chamber set for 68f also.

Yea...I can see where you would say it had a ginger breadish flavor. Did you like it? I sure did.

Just checked on my buddy. Looks like she's feeling a little better, the puking seems to have stopped.
Wow, that S-04 sure is fast and furious.

Perved it this morning. Looked like all the foaming has stopped. So I removed the blowoff tube and replaced with the normal airlock. It's still bubbling but not as fiercly.
Boy am I glad I looked at it when I did yesterday. If I hadn't, it would have really been a mess in there. Only needed the blowoff for 12 - 18 hours total.
All is good now, I can leave it alone for a couple weeks while it does all it's goodness.

Mine started really going to town yesterday afternoon. Good thing you gave that heads up, I had everything on hand when I saw the first wort in the airlock. it hadn't over flowed...yet. So I was able to avert a mess.
I just went back on the air lock. I might have to go back to the blow off tube, as it's still bubbling like crazy!
