I think between the boil I did and as you said.. i'll be fine. the smell coming out the airlock is pure orange goodness mixed with fresh baked bread. wlp400 is a great yeast so far. the starter took off right away. a 1 liter starter had 200 ml of krausen in no time. pitched at high krausen. did not decant. the starter wort smelled like beer and was spun at the same temp im fermenting so... I'm keeping the fermenter ambient temp at 66f-67f and it is just munching away despite the colder temp. the last week i'll put the fermenter in a bath with an aquarium heater and crank the heat up to make it finish dry. so far no sulfur. OG was 1.052 ...

Hey Kealia. Checking in to see how this turned out for you. I just tapped my keg last week. The orange and coriander came through great. Good flavor for me, although it may be just a bit sweet. Going to try it with an orange slice tonight. Interested to see how this one ages, but it is very easy to drink.

@gwcr, I don't see what yeast you used, but if it wasn't WLP400, and you do it again you may want to try that. It will add some tartness that can cut through a bit of residual malt sweetness from the extract.

@mashani. I used BRY-97 for this one because I was going for a clean finishing yeast that wouldn't add too much to the brew. First time I used it. It took a while to get going, but finished very well. Adding a slice of orange really seemed to cut the sweetness. If I do this one again, I may have to try the WLP400 just to see the difference. Been a while since I've done an extract batch, but no sign of the classic "twang".

My wife had some last week and liked it but I realized that I haven't tried it myself yet. Guess I'll have to do that tomorrow and report back!

Weird. Pulled a sample last night for myself and the keg is flat. WTF? Must investigate today.
