alb sorry to hear your not feeling well. Get Well Soon. For what (ales) ya, here's my 2 cents worth:

1cup of water
1/2 cup of honey
1 lemon
1/2 cup of your brand of bourbon

take the lemon and cut in half and squeeze juice and retain juice and rind. place all into small sauce pan and bring to boil remove from heat. strain and pour into 8 oz. cup and drink as hot as you can, bundle under blanket. repeat after 8 hrs. as needed.

was given this as a kid by mom and I continue to use it today for all my colds and flu like sickness. seems to work well for all of us that partake of it.

Hope you are getting better! I too use Dave's "medicine" although I substitute the tea for more JD. Not sure if it works better but when I am finished I really dont care anymore.

Yeah, that's the beauty of this particular home remedy. Even if it doesn't get rid of your cold symptoms, if you drink enough of it, you'll find out you're pretty okay with being sick anyway.

Hope you're finally feeling better Alb. I feel for ya. I know I what it's like. We went back to NE for Thanksgiving and everyone in my family got sick. Worst vacation ever. 4 days of total driving and 6 days stuck at my mother n laws with fevers and the flu. Sucky!
