Danby 440BL has been replaced by the Danby DAR044A4BDD, currently $199 shipped to your door by Amazon. This model is all refrigerator, no freezer section.

The new one's have the door shelves glued on, which makes it harder to remove. But I used an Oscillating Tool and cut it out, then just put duck tape over where I cut out the plastic. I'm the only one who ever opens it anyway, so I don't care what it looks like.

Yep. You can still find the 440BL, but it is a little more expensive now. I got mine from Wal-Mart a few years ago. Ordered online, ship to store thing for $179 on sale if I remember right. Haven't seen it at that price since, but the model RickBeer mentioned is the same except with the glued on door panel.

First on has a freezer section at the top. second ones controls look like they are right where the tower hole would come thru.

Nope. No freezer section on those models. The thermostat is in the front middle. Plenty of room to drill a hole between it and the coils.

I deleted the first one because it had a freezer.
